Along with families and couples, working as a military photographer on Camp Pendleton is something I’ve learned to love. Living on a military base, the opportunity to work with some great people is in abundance. Homecoming sessions are some of the most precious and sought after shoots for military spouses because for some of these families their husband or wife has been gone anywhere from a few months to a few years. The time and day their family members are supposed return can change several times which can make homecomings stressful for both the photographer and the family, but even with the stress and unpredictability they are some of the best shoots I get to be apart of. They run to each other amidst all the chaos and all the distance that was between them is over in a matter of seconds. It's heartfelt to witness, especially after having gone through two deployments with my husband. I appreciate these families a lot, especially being in the same boat as them, so being able to do these shoots isn't something I take for granted. They deserve the best and I strive to deliver just that as a military photographer for couples and families in San Clemente and on Camp Pendleton.
